Leah Pinette
Head Coach
Leah started synchronized swimming at the age of 4!  She is a 9-time US National Team Member and was named to the United States Olympic Selection Team in 2012.  She was named team captain of the Olympic Selection Team in 2011-2012, of The Ohio State University team in 2007 - 2008, and of the New Canaan Aquianas in 2004.  She has competed in numerous international competitions including the Olympic Qualifier, FINA World Championships, FINA World Cup and FINA World Trophy. Leah’s club affiliations include 10 years with the New Canaan Aquianas, 4 years at The Ohio State University, where she graduated with a Business Administration in Marketing degree, and 3 years with the Santa Clara Aquamaids.  Leah joined ANA Synchro as Head Coach in 2013.  She was named the 2015 East Zone Coach Of The Year.  Coach Pinette was also named the 2014 USA Synchro Developmental Coach Of The Year, recognizing her ability to help athletes progress to higher levels in the sport.
Reem Abdalazem
Assistant Head Coach
Reem is an internationally decorated synchronized swimming athlete and coach. She represented her home country of Egypt at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics. She was also Egypt’s top soloist at the 2015 World Championships.  Reem came to the US in 2010 to study journalism and join the synchronized swimming team at Lindenwood University in Missouri. She was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2012 and received her bachelor’s degree in 2014.  Most recently, Reem was Head Coach of synchronized swimming at Lindenwood where she led the team to the 2016 US National Championship. She was named Coach Of The Year in 2016 by USA Synchro.  Reem joined ANA Synchro as a full-time Assistant Head Coach in 2016.
